Default Exhaust problems?

Morning

Just drove to work this morning and my exhaust is making a racket...

I have a supersprint straight through exhaust and normally its a bit raspy, but this morning its even more so. Opened the bonnet, no extra noise coming from there. LOADS of extra noise coming from the back end.

When i accelerate, its to the point of the back window vibrating.

Im thinking broken gasket or a hole in the exhaust?

Thoughts?

thanks

Put your hand over the tail pipe and it will make it easier to find if there is leak. It will blow loudly because you're forcing the gases out of the leak instead of the tail pipe!

Found the problem. Centre section has literally snapped in two on the way home... Awful. Pipe from the backbox towards the front. What do I need to replace to fix it?

If its snapped clean through it would be easier just to replace it, if you fix it no doubt it will snap again (As I found out)

Either fit a new pipe,or depending on where it`s snapped get it welded.

Yeah that's far too much for what I'm looking to spend. And they look different to mine? My exhaust is in three pieces. Pipe with silencer from cat to middle, pipe from middle to back box (snapped) then obviously the back box.

I'm not sure on the make of my exhaust, I'm sure it's a supersprint...

Thats the supersprint one with a silencer, there are loads of others about that are similar though so it could be any really. The brand will dictate the price you pay.

(It doesn't matter if there is no spit in the centre, unless you want it in two parts of course)

I can courier?

Possible piper is £35, supersprint is £55.

Think courier will be extra £15.

No pics of the supersprint but it's the same as the other centre which is below

It's the longer pipe I need mate. Not the decay pipe. Is that what you mean or are you talking about the decat pipe?

So both the same as that bottom pipe?

What's the diameter on them?

They slot together and go from manifold to back box. Straight through.

Both 2 1/4" I believe

imagine you'll need the catback section. full pipe will decat (obv). Mines been on a year, i'll give it all this year before it cracks. I'd go stainless next.

I've got a 4-1 mani then another pipe that attaches to that. That pipes fine.

The pipe from the middle of the car to the backbox is the one that's snapped.

Are you saying it's £55 for both pipes from mani to back box?

What's that in mm?
