Default misfire

hello all, i have a vtr engine in my desire, it was idling all over the place, i replaced the idle control valve which cured the idle but now going up in the rev range at around 3k it misfire or just judders, i have no idea why is it doing it, i have used another idle control valve and still the same thing. i have changed the map sensor, could it be time for a new mani?

have you checked other things like the ignition system (spark plugs etc), or fuel system (blocked injector). misfire can be caused by many things

recently changed the spark plugs, and coil pack, i also cleaned out the injectors and everything looked good. Its only started since i changed the idle control valve before it was just idling all over the place, and now the idles fine but at high revs it shudders going really weird, its hard to explain its not like a common misfire its like its gasping for air, but i have checked over everything that i can think of had the inlet mani of for a good clean, all sensors have been checked so im pretty stumped, i tried another idle control valve and still the same.

Wouldn't bother with the inlet manifold. I had it off a few months before you bought the engine and replaced all the seals whilst I was there.
