Types of mirror glass?

My 2001 vtr had a vtr mirror unit on the drivers side but a regular saxo mirror unit on the passenger side. I suspect it was broken much earlier in its life and some one thought standard mirror unit was good enough. The glass on this was okay.

Wanting things to be proper, I bought a second hand vtr passenger mirror with glass but the glass on this was shot.

The standard saxo mirror had a pin type of attachment acting like a clip, so popped the two prongs and off the glass came

The vtr mirror did NOT have these two little prongs but seemd to be attached just by pushing it into the mirror base within the unit.

Can these different mirror glasses be interchangeable? or do I need to order a new one
