Default Weird idle won't go away

Hi, new member here recently bought a Citroën saxo 1.1 desire which is idling all over the place once it's warned up, looking at previous threads I've already swapped the icv which hasn't solved the problem, the other day I removed the coolant temperature sensor while the car was high idling around 4k and it ran fine with it left out. So I bought a new sensor and fitted it but it still idles high when warm, so I'm lost for ideas now. Would air/ manky coolant cause the same problem or could it be something else? Many thanks in advanced

Went to go and change coolant found out the head gasket has gone, 90% oily sludge 10% water. Oil look fine though. only been driving for a month i guess its time i bought a brand new car instead instead of used.
