Hi all,

The drivers seat in my VTR seems to have a lot of movement in the seat base or rails. I've not had a thorough examination but is there a common part failure on these, some form of nylon slide/bush or anything?

It is common, it is normally corrosion where the rail bolts to the chassis. I think the normal fix is welding a plate and bolting through that.

If your lucky to catch it in time you like I did you could get away with jamming a big square washer in as a temp fix for mot! Obviously the right way is to weld a plate but it's worked for me so far!
