Unhappy Saxo 1.1 Petrol W reg

My car started doing this yesterday...

When i go to start the car cold it won't start, even if i rev it it dies straight after. I have the start it and put it in to 1st and go. If the engine is still a bit warm it'll start but sound a bit lumpy. (it's not the start motor as the car goes to start)

I find driving it misses every now and then when driving and it doesn't sound very smooth/healthy haha.

Also it seems stopping at every other junction/red light the cars revving on it's own like i'm doing it but i'm not (up to like 15000/20000).

Any kind of advice would be helpful :-)

it's not an F1 lol. Now the idle jumping up is quite common:

I'm not too sure, the MOT was last June, the previous owner i know serviced it every year, and had a winter service every year. The cars only done 30,000 miles (Sorry i sound like a typical girl)

Try cleaning the ICV, (the idle control stepper motor) with some WD40. Just take it off, spray the piston thingy and wipe it clean. If this doesn't cure it you may need a new one.

30,000 miles is very low for a Saxo, it's obviously been stood for a long time at some point in its life.

As above, sounds like either the icv needs cleaning or next I'd be looking at the maf/map sensor on the intake as that tends to cut the engine out!
