Any modification... no matter how big or small (within reason)... declare it.

Price depends on : If its added more Brake, Age, how long you have been driving, NCB etc.
Some companies wont let you put a new zorst on (+ other mods) untill your 25, Direct Line is one of them!

A backbox wont be as much as a full system... Give them a call and ask
"If I was to buy a Sportex backbox, how would it affect my insurance?"
They might ask you if it'd increase the cars performance to which you should reply NO because it's basically a replacement backbox. But, the new backbox would make the car more "stealable" and more attractive to thiefs so there would be a slight increase.

Dont think Tescos will let you have any mods mate. At least thats what they told me on the phone when i rung them to get an insurance quote. Best thing is to ring them.

quinn direct mate.... if it doesnt add bhp it doesnt matter basically. as long as you let them know...
always declare to be on safe side. something's you might get away with. i.e wheels... if you crash if it's just a bump you can put your standard ones back on in time... (only prob is if you have a massive crash)
but a backbox will be a bit of a bitch to change... i.e welding etc.
i didnt want to risk it so i have declared everything
