if your going to usefully synthetic then i was told to flush the engine to get rid of as much of the old oil as possible,

i ended up using castrol semi synthetic 10w/40 (i think) and it has been running sweet as since

Synthetic should take higher temps and usually starts workin straight away (hence Castrol, i think, sayin they're oil begins workin faster) and synthetic is the best oil 4 turbos and the like...not so sure y, but it just is...
