Went up to northampton over the weekend in my mk2 1.1 and mannaged 242.3 miles to half a tank of juice up there. thats 120miles on M5 and rest on A46 (so side roads) and was cruising at 'x' mph

just wondering, is that good? what does everyone else get?

Most I ever got out of my VTR was 405.7 miles.

That was 271 miles of Motorway driving and rest on town driving. I was pretty impressed, especially for a 1.6.

as dan said i've had nearly 100mpg out of mine... I drove 7 hours constantly at 50mph to achieve that and yes its very very gay

Cant remember off the top of my head but im sure the fuel guage was showing a three quarters of a tank left and i had done 330miles.

Just because of smaller engines eg 1.0 or 1.1 doesnt mean it should do more mpg, remember it takes alot more effort for these small engines to get up to optimum speeds than it does for a larger engine. Most ive had from my 1.0 is 390 miles from a tank and that was largely motorway driving. Around town use i only get 330 miles

short journeys are the worst for fuel consumption engine does not fully warm up. I drive about 2 miles to uni everyday cos i'm a lazy bastard and my fuel consumption is shocking.
