right mate, there could be several problems. Firstly inspect the inlet manifold and associated pipes for signs of a vacuum leak. Check that the fuel filter is not blocked, restricting the amount of fuel to the engine. There may be a fault with the fuel pump - system pressure low. Ensure that the fuel tank vent pipes are not blocked or kinked. There may be a fault with the fuel injection/engine management system.

Only when the car is cold. Once it starts to warm up its perfect.

Many times Ive pulled off and the car has cut out!

well i have got k&n 57i induction kit, sometimes when i rev it when it starts up the revs drop n it starts to struggle n stutter but after a min of runnin its fine. i guess i will have to get someone to check it out, oh it also always makes a sort of ratterlin noise when im drivin alone without my foot on the accelerator could that be a prob, dont you think its nething to do with the air sensor then, it looks a bit fraid where my induction hose has been sitting on it thanks neway for your help
