I've got a really modded 1.1 beast but it is lacking in the quick as fuck department. If i decide to stick a 16v VTS bitch in it, will i need to change driveshafts and struts or do ya think the driveshafts and struts from the 1.1 beast would cope fine.

Your knowledge and advice will be greatly appreciated

cheers people

I have a VTS lump for sale if you're interested - check out for sale section! I'm pretty sure you'd need vtr/s struts and shocks to cope with the extra weight, plus to help with handling.

the engine should go straight in lads u might need a different mount some dude was tellin me,i have a 1400cc saxo and goin to drop a vts in it,make sure when you get the engine you get all the wiring harness and loombs ecu and sensors or the cost will go way up,im doin the swap with my old man,hes prety good in that deartment, also keep you g-box as it has(well pretty sure) a much lower gear ratio than the vts/r models, thus resulting in a car that is blisteringly quick of the start but with a lower top end than a vt,in my eye and on todays roads this is the don.and for dragin its the don as its all go go as fast as you can,in theory witht the weight saved it souhl kick some serious,vt butt.

the 1.1 gear box is almost identical to the VTS box but a vtr box has longer ratios than both

i find that hard to belive,do you know where you can find the ratios of the boxes, also why they put the longer box on the smaller engine,or is that a typo

honest govenor thats the truth

the vts has shorter ratios to give even quicker acceleration and the vtr box has longer ratios to give slightly slower acceleration and better motorway driving etc... as the vts was designed to be the quicker one and teh vtr designed to be quick but still be more of a daily driver for the mass market if you get me.

And the 1.1 box and vts box are supposedly almost identical
