how old do you have to be to test drive a car. im 17 and im going to be buying a brand new car early next year so need to know if i can test drive

to be honest, if your looking at buying the car and not just going on a test drive then should be ok, just so long as it is not a porsche cause i think they may think your messing around a bit lol

I know an 18 year old girl who test drove a New Seat Leon, i think its probly 18+.

I live near a porche(sp) garage so when im 18 ill have some fun LOL.

just ask the dealer, you should be fine as long as it's not an evo or anything like that. You will need both parts of your driving license usually

My mate took out a new punto sporting, focus st and golf gti at 18. Im sure he done a few at 17 aswell. He is minted and just phoned up and said i want to test drive this car. If they say no to anyone they are losing a sale.

I went to test drive my VTR at 18 and I don't think I shown them both parts of my licence. I'm pretty sure it was just the photo bit.

Probably diown to the individual dealer and whether they believe you are serious about buying the car.

Most main dealers run a £10,000 excess on their insurance policies for any driver to drive any car they hold in stock.

any age i think with some exceptions.. like to test a brand spanking lambo i think you need to prove you can afford one before they let you drive it
