Default will a mk1 vtr spoiler fit on mk2 vtr

does anyone no if a mk1 vtr spoiler will fit onto a mk2 vtr with out any hassle , i just want to take my old mk2 spoiler off and put the mark 1 spoiler on instead has any one done this as i have seen a few mk2 s with it done any advise cheers

to fit the mk1 spoiler you have to stick the spoiler on with a strong solvent iirc the mk1 spoiler can also be screwed in

just stick with your standard one

the spoiler i want has bolt holes and bolts does the mk 2 spoiler have the same holes bolts or will i have to drill new holes

the mk2 lil flip spoiler is fitted threw the glass, but what i done was drilled the mk1 spoiler threw the tailgate n after removin the mk2 spoiler replaced the holes in the window with gromits, doesnt leak and cant notice them

as said^^

mk2 spoiler is fixed though the glass in the tailgate

mk1 spolier is drilled and bonded to the top of the tailgate

imo i would stick with the mk2 one but all that you need to do is just unscrew your old one and then put some rubber grommets in the holes that are left. then mark up the holes that need to be drilled to fit the mk1 one spoiler drill them and screw it in and also use some sealent to stop any leakages
