With mine it said 'wireless network detected' in a pop up on the right hand side, clicked on it and chose the wireless connection I wanted to connect to, it then asked for a code numer which is on the router itself, I input that and that was it, it just connects all the time now.

Have you tried your 'Wireless Connection' in your control panel?
Those settings might need adjusting.

If the wireless light isnt flashing on the router it means no data it been used. No light what so ever tells me that the Wireless connection isnt even enabled on your router.

key in 192.168.0.1 into your internet address bar.
Log in using your admin username and password and double check the wireless connection.
Makes sure you encript the connection too

yep, my mate says that it will need enabling. i have setup the router to run with my IP, runs spot on with LAN cable.
need to find out how to setup the wireless and asign a password.
was piss easy with the belkin but the linksys seems alot more complex.
the laptop wireless is on
anyone got one of these?
cheers

Boz,
You need to log onto the router... via your lan cable, by browsing to the ip of your router...
Wireless transmit is disabled as standard. Turn it on... initially with no security.
Prove it works, then setup your wireless type, set broadcast name and tell router to broadcast.
Setup your laptop to connect via the same settings, eg WEP shared, etc...)
Enter the key (password) on your laptop, which you specified on the router and you should be away...
Think I have the same router as yours...
