pinking sounds like a little "tinkling" noise... it's very bad for pistons and is usually heard under hard acceleration if the fuel mixture is too lean.
Thankfully, I've not heard it for about 3 years

you need to raise the octain rating in your petrol by using an octain booster this will stop the engine pinking.

nah you can buy it from all good parts shops, it will be called a power boost or sum shit like that, it dosent give you any more power but it will definatly top the pinking its around £20.00 a bottle and you just add it to your petrol.

its unlikely that the booster will stop the pinking, though it might. its caused by no having enough fuel in the mixture so adding octane booster may delay the problem but are you going to add octane booster every time you fill the car with petrol?

thats most likely whats causing it, or you could fit a higher FPR and it may solve your problems
