More than is worth it. Certainly more than buying a VTS IMHO.

i suppose if you knew someone who worked at a breakers well, you could get a high milage vts lump for like £500 if you were very lucky, but for a decentish engine your looking at double that easy, plus all the work and other parts...

imo, not worth it, if you want a vts, sell the vtr and buy one

Alot of the costs is really in finding and buying the lump itself as removing and refitting the block isnt rocket sience but if you havent got the time of space to do it then having somebody proffesional do it could hike the price of the conversion up alot.

I agree with tuning the 8v enjoying the car then if you want to go 16v buy a new car as by then you might even want a change of brand or size of car.

you could get a VTS lump fitted in your VTR for about £700-£800 with ease mate! but then you have the extra insurance, tax and running costs to account for too, then when it comes to sell up time, well...................GOOD LUCK!

100% of VTR to S converted saxos have been ragged senseless....

So if you get a vts engine with low mileage then its prob worth it but tbh if you cant fit it yourself then its gonna get expensive, along with getting the ECU unlocked....
