Default fire!!!!

i brought some of these cheap blue cathode lights of the net and installed it tonight off of the the wires that power the ciggy lighter. only to return to the car half an hour later to smell burning and the box that comes with the tubes was burning away inside and was smoking lucky i caught in time! im geussing this is just a dodgy box or is it something else that would of caused it????
