I like the sound of that 300bhp AX. How reliable will a 16v engine be with that amount of power increase ??

Yep... that's their new site alright.
That turbo spec has been on their site for a long time. The supercharger one is also on there.
The AX belongs/belonged to the bloke who works/worked there. It was a looong project. I'm sure it had the 16v lump in it when I was up there having my de-cat done.

the white one on the site belonged to a guy called pete wymer aka mooseracer, the engine came out of a yellow 106gti that carworx turboed (dave newman)then the guy broke and sold it (had a feature in PGTI in 2005) then the engine was fitted to petes car and played with but never really got tested as he had many problems with the car, then it was sold to a guy in scotland who crashed it 2 days after buying it, they did build another ax 16v turbo that did belong to a member of staff but that also has failed to show at any events of put some times down

A shame the AX never made it to some trackdays or qtr mile martin, looks like your Ax is set to rule the roost there mate, so many people/companies fall foul and never have the consistency in seeing things through and getting these types of cars out there, and it does niggle me a little when the 'big power' packages are always 'approx' power, lol, in my mind that means it hasnt been acheived yet ? What stage you at with yours at present ? i saw the box all in and intercooler trial fitted, looks very purposeful lol
DSh85, that package for 210bhp also include mf2, which isnt the ideal solution to extra fuelling, so might be only a few hundred more for uprated injectors and stand alone ecu, far far better package then. dont forget suspension and braking upgrades, along with decent tyres and other suspension components and as many will tell, ma gearboxes arent the strongest without boost, lol

i know what you mean bic, buckys 16v turbo ax never went to the strip either (but means i have the fastest official time lol) i know there are a few being built but again with the rest they may never be finished or make it to a track.
mines not been touched for a few weeks but going to get cracking on it, dont think it will be ready for FCS though, more likely be USC for the unveiling
taz ax will be fast but its cossie YB and RWD so a different class

martin - yeah his ax is certainly all about something different going down the Yb route mate. get cracking with yours, come on, give it a big push for FCS !
peeps need to bare in mind a saxo with an engine that makes circa 350bhp is only as good as the work completed in all other areas of the car at the end of the day, more often than not a car with less power but a chassis that can control it will make a faster car round a track, and sometimes even up a qtr mile, not always but there are cases.
What kind of Demo cars are carworx looking to bring onto the scene this year ? do we know ?
