You could do but i wouldnt recomend it if you have to ask. This isn't like the porter cable because it isn't a random orbit and unless you really know what you are doing you could cause more damage than good. For example melting the paint or going through the clear coat.

if you havent used 1 orbeen shown how to use 1 it could be a bad thing getting it as you can burn though the paint very easy with one

I think you have to be carfull with these, as they can scratch your paint work if not used properly...
I use the halfords one, it's a cordless one, don't know if you know it? But it works really well and saved alot of elbow greece.
One thing when i used it on my brothers car, alot of paint came of in the polishing bonnet, but his car always seems to do that.

Is it a red vauxhall? Some paint doesnt have a clearcoat and this would explain it.

its more for expierienced people mate, basically you cant burn the paint with a porter cable 7424, its the safest and best way to do it without burning the paint as the pad moves in a random movement

Yes! It's a corsa mate. I thaught i wasn't doing mine correct or i was melting the paint lol.
The buffer is from halfords. I got Seperate polishing bonnets from ebay, the terry ones are good for polish. It came with a hover in a little bag, bth it was alot of shit, the hover lol.

Your right you can cause damage using a PC but it is alot harder to do so. The special thing about the PC is that it moves on a random orbit so is alot safer to use without scratchin or heating up the paint for people with not that much experience.

a porter cable 7424 wont harm the paint at all mate, it doesnt keep in one place it rotates in different directions due to the weight therefore wont stay in one place while polishing, have a look on detailing world, it explains it in there

a pc doesnt go round and round it re creates the movement of the hand
the rest go round and round causing heat very quickly and burning through paint

the porter cable can only really be bought abroad for a good price there is currently a group buy on for them well a second one but if your company wanted some id contact them see if you can get a bulk price for them
there $210 for the SFX kit which is the best one, you can get them on ebay already imported but the costs are quite high, he sells it for £145 delivered, and with a transformer plug and extension its around £230 - £240 i think
you need a transformer to run them and will need to change the plug over on them being a two pin one
anyway heres the site where you can get them

well not if the weight is on as it unbalances the pc so will not want to stay in the same place unless you press really hard on it and put it on its highest speed

Yeah you can damage the paint with a pc but its supposed to be quite hard to do so.
Pc would be my first choice then if confident move onto a rotary, but I wouldnt like to run before I could walk as Im still getting used to the pc.
