Cat Disintegrating(VTR)
Just wondered if anyone has come across this problem before. Its a mk2 VTR car in manifold but when you drive the car its a constant "ting ting ting" noise that sounds like your heatshield vibrating.found out today from a guy at work with a citroen that this is what the noise actually is as inside the cat is ceramic that is breaking up and rattling about

think its probablies the baffles inside mate, they get hot and over time they just fall to bits, all you can do is get a new cat
