What version carbon tailgate?
I am about to purchase a tailgate on ebay to make a mould of. Will it matter if I use a Mk1 tailgate as personally I can't tell the difference bar a roof spoiler that we wouldnt mould anyway?

initially only a standard one. Its a big investment to get a decent mould made up and we already have a 205 bonnet mould being made and a saxo bonnet being delivered to make a mould from also.
I take it a smoothed one would be minus the numberplate recess?

I'd be intrested in a boot.. but i would want a numberplate recess, as for the bonnets, how are you going to go about them?
Are you having it like a smoothed dimma like mine is now? or are you having it so it's a standard replacement were the grill will slot in?.. I personally think you would sell more if the grill looked like a dimma.. the standard grill dosent look right on carbon

I would be VERY interested please pm me estimated prices on both the carbon bonnet for MK2 and a carbon boot.
The difference between the MK1 and the MK2 is that the MK1 has holes in the top of it where the spoiler is. If I was buying a boot I wouldn't want the holes

Yeah ditto that,
How would it hinge and would it still have all of the central locking, boot light and locks etc on it, or would it come with all the holes and threads etc so that we can attach our own to it?
thanks scott

Hopefull will come with all necessary holes etc and we just put ours on.. Thats would be good..
I'm not fussed about the locking aspect, there are other ways around that.. Just need the numberplate lights..

I think mk1 and mk2 tailgates are the same yes, as some people have swapped them over so that they can have the mk1 spoiler
