furiomikes progress thread [new cars post #38]
My Saxo Furio 1.4i
The car as it stood when i got it back in July, complete with flat tyres...
The engine was a rusty mess, and im still to completely sort out the rocker cover...
It didin't take long to get some new wheels, using the excuse that 2 tyres where dead anyway..
Starting to chav things up i got some black lexus lights, and by the looks of it, raised the suspension...
I painted the dash and got rid of the nasty yellow bits with a nice momo gear knob and richbrook door pins. Also got some smoked side repeaters and a black b-pillar at this point...
Attention to the front and i got some black headlights. One came smashed so i did a bit of a DIY jobby. Also got a Dimma style grille with slightly negative colour coding...
I stuck my Peco exhaust back on that i got a few weeks ago, as well a splitter. Very contrvertial. I hardly like it either...
Then today i got it to the garage for a lowering. Dont think the front settled down as yet. More pics of that tommorow...

Once it is lowerd I think the splitter would look good if it was coloured

Not so keen on the Black Grill but the rear splitter looks pretty smart in black, compliments the lights and wheels.
I personally love dirty engines cos their like blank canvarses ready for you to create a masterpeace, all be it with a lot of work.
I think you cant beat Red rocker covers, get the paint out and smarten it up.
Drop look spot on, could you get a level side on view so we can see how she sits compairing front and back.
Looks like shes in safe hands mate, look good

cheers. i think once i give the engine a proper greasin up and get a new rocker, or paint that one, it'll look alright. theres some bits that are rusted to fuck that i cant be arsed to do a lot with like the battery holder thing and the air intake bracket thing.
i do want to color code the grill. was planning on goin to halfrauds for some paint tomorrow. it was silver before but a really poor color match. and im not sure how good the grill fits tbh

yep good clean and pinted rocker cover will look great, use gunk on the engine works pretty well, make sure you cover the electrics up with tin foil as its easily mouldable, and when it coms to the black plastic bits i use wd40 works really well and seems to shine for quite a long time
