induction kit increase insurance?
does an induction kit increase the insurance for the car with Quinn as they say only you only pay more if it makes the car go faster. So would such a small gain be included and what about if I got an induction kit that didnt improve speed at all?

near enough any modification will increase insurance, even if they are just styling mods.

NOPE, not with quinn like I said
If its there policy 'you only pay more if it makes the car go faster' surely they havnt got a leg 2 stand on if I go for an induction kit with no bhp gain, and how would they no if there was a slight gain?

why would you declare it? it's an air filter, which is standard on any car. plus they really aren't expensive

Well, its all kinda a grey area to be honest.
All modifications Should be notified to the insurance company but rarely do . . .
This is fine until you have a smash and the car is taken away to be accessed, thats when the insurance certifcate says '02 VTR 8v' but when they come to look at it they see an '02 VTR with 16v converson running throttle bodies' this will invalidate your insurance and your be in trouble.
Id say keep it to yourself and if quiz'd at any point in the case of a smash tell the insurance company 'this is how you bought the car, Im not mechanic, I thought it was all just standard'

thats the only good thing i found going for quinn, the fact you can say for example "ive stripped my car out fitted bucket seats a full exhaust but there jsut for looks and dont add power" and youll get he reply "o ok well just put the value of your car up"

And if the car looks better and individual then it is more of a target to theives thus increasing the chance of it being broken into or stolen which means you will have to claim.
Insurance will do anything to get out of paying out, to be honest is it worth it?

put a panel filter in, To be more specific K&N panel filters say " No insurance concerns" on the box
If you crash with an induction kit on just pull it off and throw it in the bushes
