tightening Handbrake cable... HELP!
okay, ive had a quick search about to no avail. i dont have the haynes manuaul eitheir yet, can some one please tell me how to tighten the lever need a answer quick
help please guys lol.

jack the car up at the back , undo the nuts on the exhaust heatshields and slide them down the front and you should see the adjuster nut, just tighten that up and keep trying the handbrake.

jack the rear of the car up
undo nuts on exhaust heatshields and slide them up to the front of car
you should see the adjuster nut there
EDIT beaten to it

okay went and had a go but as soon as i went to unscrew the little plastic screws they started to round? any special way to unscrew these ?

The only plastic screws i can think of are on the wheel liners.Shouldnt be any on the exhaust shield saxomaxo.

As far as i can remember mine was held on by a few nuts but it had been off before so it might have been missing some fasteners.

U could try cutting a groove in them and using a flat bladed screwdriver.

Just checked mine saxo.Its the heatshield nearer to the centre of the front. theres a bolt at the front nearest the engine bay and not the one at the back.
