PS3 - Home
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBiOUp22NLs
Says it all, i can't wait until july/august now.. and best of all it's free. Being able to watch films in a cinema, playing pool with friends etc
Really happy that PS3 have put the effort into a communication system for the console, it should be amazing but how will it fair with xbox live? ps3 owners what are your thoughts?

Ad's you wont regret it man, The people who say 360's are better lie >.> Although 360 rock online and i can accept that.
I'm really shocked at how advanced 'Home' is though, you can throw t.v's down the stairs etc do anything you want..

Go for the ps3 first imo, i ran my ps3 without HD for a while and gaming wise the difference isent as big as people make out.. if your going to use the ps3 for blueray movies then get a big tv/hd lead first

Theres an awful lot of cringe worthy sony placement going on... i suppose they think they deserve it & its not as bad as that movie "the island" with their xbox 3d game
Just watched another movie on Home, it seems like a dummed down version of Second Life with better graphics though they keep badgering on about its future though. Will be interesting to see how it develops!

agreed. I've heard about second life and that some people have even made money out of the place
I'm a bit dubious about how much time i would actually spend sat infront of a computer conversing with a lot of people i've never met.... sounds strangely familiar

haha i agree,
At the end of the day though if Sony have the recources to take someone elses idea and turn it into something bigger/better there is no harm in that. It's going to change the online experiance for the ps3.. because lets face facts.. it sucks at the moment.
Just read the Terms of Service for 'home' and it made me chuckle
'No stalking' - I think i'm just going to stalk someone now...

Yeh i've never got into second life, theres a whole world in there (literally) coca cola & loads big brands spend mega bucks on their second life investment so i expect alot of sonys buddies will invest in this in the same way with their 'premium' items.
It take meback to the 90's when i tried an early "3d chat room" which consisted of 2d people chatting with a sort of point & click teleporty movement.
Aside from all my picking i am acctually impressed by this & if i already like the look of it without trying it i'd be doomed if i owned a ps3. bye bye real world
I've just about got my hd projector home cinema setup sorted now too... a ps3 could be on the cards
