vibe components

picking car up saturday, and already began buying parts to fit to it. i have bort some vibe sak 50 speakers, the ones that you can take the tweeter out and use as components or coaxials, i was just wondering is it better to use as coaxials or components.? and if so where can i mount my tweeters.

current specification of my ice system.

jvc avx 2 dvd headunit. + auxilary screen unfortunately its a ripspeed one but only cost me 60 pounds and the one o the avx2 is only 3 inch

vibe blackbox 1 amplifier

vibe sa50 13cm components/coaxials

vibe space 8inch subwoofer with built in amplifier (enclosure). this sub and enclosure is bloody tiny but its 800 watts max apparently and the bass that comes out of one of these is brilliant.

im hoping this is going to be a brilliant set up, i have plenty of dynamat ready as i want to insulate everything really well.

also i wanted to ask what is the way to get the correct settings for an amplifier, you no correct gain bass boost etc. or is it just a matter of playing about.

not hte best set up, can get a better one for less money, namely the JBL deals and then spend the rest on boston S50 components

i really dont rate vibe stuff, i think there amps are ok but the rest i dont like

the sub you have is an active one right, with amp built in, wont be great tbh but will give you some bass, on the amps dont set the gains high, its your ears so just have a good play about mate, on the headunit and the amps

do the components come with crossovers then, just on the site it looks like they are just the tweeter and the mid speaker??

yeah they come with passive crossovers? they are like built into the wires, with one wire coming out that goes to the tweeter and the other to the woofer.

yeah it is an active sub, but i wanted an 8 inch sub as im not keen on big huge things and i dont want a big one weighing my car down, so its perfect, might not give as much kick as a 12 but i was pretty impressed at what it could do. i got most of my stuff discounted cause i work for a retail outlet that specialises in vibe stuff. i get all my ice at cost price, so the sub and enclosure was suposed to be 150, but i got it for 90. speakers were cheap n all, 50 quid instead of 89,99. and the blackbox 1 ive had for ages class little amp though.

fair enought then mate, i only rate there amps like said, a sub in a box isnt that heavy too, think a ten would of been good, i only like 10 or 12s, any bigegr is just crap tbh

asl odont know how you mean about the tweeters come out of the speaker to become components or coaxials??

take a look on vibes website, you can take the tweeter out of its pod and use as a component speaker or keep them inside the speaker to use as a coaxial. hard ot explain i thought they were kinda weird speakers at first but after listening to the quality of them i was quite impressed.

thats pretty weird like, cant be very good then, sell them and get some bostons

if your ok with them then keep them, just as long as there set up right
