Default Quick HU question

My HU mutes now and then when im driving. I have to put my hand under the passenger footwell, round the console and jiggle the wires in the back of the unit.

My HU has a mute wire coming from the back of it but is only connected at 1 end. Im thinkin that its making a connection with something

What should i do?

Im thinkin do i just tape the end of the mute wire? or is there something more to it than that?

Thanx
Chris x

could be shorting out on some metal, like you have said tape it up

if it still does it then maybe something internal, an car audio repair place should be able to sort it out for you
