I have got a Spax suspention kit, and in it was 2 springs, 2 rear dampners, 2 yellow dampners, and 2 black dampners.
Why are there 4 large dampners>?
Simple and prob stupid question but i know one of you will know..
Thanks guys

no sure they both look similar, have they got part numbers stamped on them? if so phone spax and just ask what car the part number goes with, if they both match the saxo ask them which one is better and use it

I know that the yellow ones have notches on top and an adjuster wheel that goes with them (hard or soft) The black ones do not have this, so assume the yellow ones, the dampening is adjustable.
Would it make sence to have a pair of adjustable and non-adjustable dampners in the same kit?

not really, are the rear adjustable?
If not looks like they have flung in some adjustable front dampers for some reason

Nope, the rear arnt adjustable. I bought the kit off someone who had purchased it for their 106 GTI. I contacted Pug Performance before purchasing them and they siad they would fit the saxo.
So should i fit the adjustable ones as apposed to the non adjustable ones?
Has anybody else had 2 sets of different front dampners?

Noticed that the black ones are quite soft and are easy to extend, the yellow are quite hard to extend. Not sure if that indicated why they have put in 2..

Thanks mate!!! You solved the mystery!!!!! I have tracked them both down and yes, one set are the fixed rate dampers, and the other are the sprint adjustable dampers!!!
Many thanks again matre for your words of wisdom! Glad at least someone knew and thanks for the table!!
