Default Engine struggling to turn over.

hi all,

i have a 206 in and it struggles to turn the engine over when i try to start it.

it half turns very slow and sometimes wont go any further, however if it does it will burst into life and runs sweet.

checked voltages on battery which are all fine.
replaced battery earth.
battery is brand new, also tried another battery and still same result.

could the starter motor be knackered?

Could well be, hit it as you try to turn it over!
