1.1 Silver Flatty Progress Thread!
So i got this 1.1 silver flat arch desire as my first car, VERY tidy little car that was owned by an old biddy before me so hasn't been ragged about. Had it for a few months and have slowly been doing modification but been having a lack of funds for it. Getting a second job next week so will have money for my baby!
Mods:
-Smoked Rear lights
-106 GTI leather interior
-Pug induction kit
-Vtr Kit *anyone selling one in the south?
-4x108 Banded Steels or Deep dish alloys *got the money to band them now*
-T-Cut (done)
-Mk-2 VTR spoiler
-OMP steering wheel and boss
-Flocked Dashboard
-Lowered 60mm
-Dimma front grill
-Supersprint or any 2 - 3" backbox
Any advice? Will get picture on within the half hour!

Got the mk2 spoiler on and universally hated new slick 6x9 speakers on rear shelf, currently have eyes peeled for a cheap VT kit

Got two tyres slashed last night by a bald nutjob, 60 pound that could have gone towards the new springs

Thinking of getting these as they are local to me. I have a friend who can roll arches and a garage to sand blast and refurbish

Alrright mate nice to find some one on here who is just 20mins down the road from. Your car looks quite clean atm and i think those wheels would make it shit. Unless you got the time and money to refurb them. I'm not sure they would fit as well hitting the inner arch and wing and you would have to get rid of alot of the arch to get the tyre to not rub.
I've got 205 alloys on myn and they rub slightly but i just need to trim the arch alitte, but i think they look good on sax, check my progress thread.

Cheers Tom, I've been looking at this guys thread and he has 8j wheels at the back. He's rolled the arches, but how low do you think he has gone down at the back to get that stance? The car sits perfectly imo http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=144991

So last night i had a little accident and lost the driver side wing mirror, not happy at all but completely my fault. Just me and a bush involved. Going to the breakers tomorrow to look for a new wing mirror and buying 50mm lowering springs tonight!

Did the same but on the passenger side of my 106. Your car looks nice but if I were you I'd do up your steelies and get rid of the plastic wheel trims! Good luck

Cheers, i actually managed to knock the front passenger side wheel trim off today. Not on a good streak here, what would your opinions be on colour as i can get them refurbished at a shop for free? I was thinking black but suggestions would be great!

So today after the rain stopped i got outside and took my horrible wheel trims off, gave the steels a rub down and clean and finished them in black. Only temporary but doesn't look bad and his tipped my mind more in the favor of black banded steels. Made a to do list for the interior aswell
£250.00 BANDING STEELIES
£255.60 TOYO 195/45/14 x4
£64.64 GMAX 50mm SPRINGS
TOTAL : £569.64
-blue microsuede door panels and roof
lining
-flocked abc pillars
-flocked dashboard
-OMP steering wheel + boss
-flocked lower centre console
-106 leather/suede interior
Will put photos up tomorrow of how she's going so far

New wingmirror turned up today, going to put it on and give the car another hoover out. I should really not let my friends smoke in it, ash gets everywhere..
