Thought i'd share some of my current and previous weaponry with you guys. As you will see, yes I love modifying cars, yes I like to drive on track and yes I am a big kid (41 in March!)

Recently bought a 2000 Saxo VTR as a track car and an Astra Sportive is my DD but heres some of the cars I've had in the last few years

Mazda MX6 2.5 v6 J-spec - 4 wheel steering and 200bhp - Nurburgring 2010



Subaru Impreza UK2000 - 300bhp - bought for £800 and restored/uprated it



Subaru Impreza Version 6 Type R WRC - 320bhp - Bought for £1500 with a blown engine, no mot/tax and restored/modified it to whats below



BMW 330D M-Sport - Remapped to 220bhp 440lb/ft - nice car but boring



Subaru Impreza UK2000 - 330bhp - 9m29s Nurburging lap in 2011 - Blew up at 170mph on the E42 in Belgium on the way home chasing a Merc SLS - oops



Mazda MX6 2.5 V6 UK spec - Bought for £550 then heavily modified - I know every mod/nut n bolt on an MX6 and have owned 15 of them



And heres some of my Nurburgring laps including my personal record of 9m 09 set this year in a LHD BMW 125i that we hired from Rent4Ring.

Mazda MX6 2010 - 1st ever trip - 2nd ever lap (nearly binned it!)

Subaru Impreza 2011 - 9m29s. This was the only dry(ish) lap we got all weekend and the previous lap 30 mins earlier was a washout, hence the careful start.

This years 9m 09s lap in the BMW 125i LHD Auto. I've never driven a LHD before, or a semi-auto and this was the cleanest lap I've ever done. I went out again shortly after this and was 7 seconds up by the time I got to the Karussell but then it lashed it down and I aborted it.

Nice choice of cars there, you said the E46 was boring, bet if you mapped the later engine one to about 260bhp they certainly aint boring.
Love the Mx6 really fancy putting one of them engines into my Eunos

When I say boring I mean from a modding perspective. Not much you can do to them styling and performance wise and I ran out of ideas pretty quick so got rid.

I have an mx6 at my unit that we're breaking for spares but the engine has sold already. Sold my rebuilt KLZE to a guy who wanted it for an mx5 conversion but dont know if he ever finished it.
