New brakes causing the problem?
Riiight.
I had new pads, disks, and callipers put on my VTR this week on the back as it failed its MOT rather awfully.
Picked the car up today and when i set off, it seems like the handbrake is on a tiny bit. The car drops down at the back, and there is a squeek.
Like when you try and drive with the handbrake on.
Now its not causing me to slow down or anything, just feel a TINY bit tougher to set off.
Could this problem be just temporary until I get the car running a bit, its been stood still for a week. Or have they fooked up when putting the H-brake on again.
I hope you all understand my problem, I tried explaining it as best I could.
Cheeeeeeers

Handbrakes can get a bit stiff especialy in this weather, even in the summer when i left my car on a steep slope for around a week and a bit it felt stiff then, give the car a good drive and if it's still there you may have issues.
Does the car drop to one side at all when you apply the handbrake rather than equally? Does the car creak when releasing the handbrake... they may have fiddled with the cables/brake bias valve and not set it correctly.

Yeah thats what I thought, I dont use my car much anymore anyway, but it didnt do it before it went into the garage.
Other than when i set off, there is no problem with the handbrake. All it the problem is is that it feels as if its stuck on a tad when setting off.
Cheers for the help though mate.

if the garage has done it they may not have adjusted the handbrake properly and so the handbrake may well be on a tad.
get the back wheels off the ground and see how easy they are to spin and go from there really
