Default Cam belt change

Hi all, I have a w reg (2000) Furio, and its done 70k, but I have no service history on the cam belt, and I think it should be changed for peace of mind.
Now, is it a job I could do myself? I have some knowledge when it comes to servicing and tools. Is there any pitfalls or problems I could come up against or should I take it into a garage? a couple of local garages have quoted £200-£300 for the job and citroen quoted £400+ but funds are low at moment.
I have done a brake shoe change + oil filter/plugs so I'm not "hamfisted" so should I give it a crack?

My mate has a 52plate furio and has been quoted £60 for a cam belt change by a local garage, its nobody he knows either like a family friend who does it on the cheap.
