Thats a bad reason to want one lol?
I have no idea why i wanted one really, they looked much better than the other hot hatches, i was after a nice mk2 VTR. Spent so long looking for a decent one i ended up getting a VTS instead

I brought my saxo cos since i was about 11-12, always loved them, they are sexy cars, very good lines, cheap-to-run. I love saxo's, thats why i have chose to buy a VTR instead of a C2 GT, my love for them just to big!!

cos i needed a new car, but didn't have a clue what to get.
then thought that vtr/vts's look nice, but decided on a vts as the vtr would of been no better than the car it was replacing.

Was creating a webpage at school about modified cars and stumbled across some pics from Trax 2001 or 2002 - found lots of pics of saxo's which looked good and after seeing one in real life (subtly modded), I decided thats what I wanted.

iv always loved how low you can get saxo's. they look smart when not over modded haha. i like black cars, seen this one then bought it the day i seen it haha. was chuffed but now im after something a little faster and expensive, and safer (thanks to the other threads about how bad saxo's are in crashes) Thanks haha

I bought mine because in 1997 I saw the TV ad campaign for the VTR/S with the guy from FX movies (It's a saxo..... with a bit of the devil in it) and fell in love with it.
Went out in feb 1999 and bought a late 1998 VTR in red. I started the revolution
Actually back then virtually nobody had a vtr, and ceratainly none that were lowered, colour coded, delocked, debadged and dewipered. One step ahead? You could say that!

I bought a VTR because it was faster than my 1,1
I bought a VTS because it was faster than my VTR.

bit of impulse really.
was looking for a quiksilver for about 3 weeks, then saw a tidy saxo instead. went and looked at it, picked it up 3 days later. remember thinking i wasnt sure if i had wasted 4k but it was well worth it.

needed a little run around quickly, cheap enough to insure but didnt want it to be to slow / pig ugly, think a standard saxo looks 10x better than a standard punto fiesta ect
so far shes done me brilliantly had alot of doubts about french crap, which it still is but shes done me well

I brought my vtr because it is very cheap to run, fed up of having cars that cost a fortune to run. Now i have cheap insurance, tax, less on petrol, what more could i want. And they are good looking little cars.
