that 1.1l gearbox's are exactly the same as VTR etc gearboxes?

Basically car's going to be gettin the gearbox taken off to be inspected because something inside it has split the clutch seal, causing oil to leak onto my clutch.

The garage are going to check the gearbox, but im just checking if it's cheaper to:
A) get my box fixed
B) get a reconditioned VTR box
C) get a re-con 1.1 box

Which do you think would be best option.

nope it isnt

different ratios between the 1.1 and vtr

also it was rumoured they where the same strength but ive read lately that it was infact wrong
