Induction kits.. again! Please help!
Alrightt
I am new at all this so bare with me!
I know this is probally the most common thread on here,
but..
I have a 1.1i Saxo SX (R-reg) and want to put an induction kit on to increase performance slightly.
I know being a 1.1i, its not going to make alot of difference, but its worth a try and its good experience!
Basically i dont know whether to keep the standard air box, but put a different panel in or replace the whole thing with something like a K&N 57i filter.
I'm not bothered about the sound it makes. Just want it to be a bit quicker..
Being a broke student, I don't want to speand alot. Something under £80 will be great!
I have heard from members on previous threads that K&N, Green, Viper are all good..
There are so many to choose from!
Any help at all will be great!
Cheers guys!
(and sorry about the huge paragraph!)

an induction kit won't make the car feel quicker. to be honest stick to it being standard and wait till you get a bigger cc car. you can spend money on you car better ways. lowering it, bigger brakes of another citroen or pug. but thats just my opinion.

K&N = Chavvy crap.
If you really want one, Id recommend Green/Raceland with green/BMC...... Basically any enclosed Induction kit!

Ok, cheers for your advice.
So i might scrap the idea of putting an induction kit on it..
What will make a slight difference performance-wise for under £100?

Buy a cheap ripspeed item atleast itll make noise and you might "think" your going fast, your not gonna pull any performance out of a 1.1, your probebly too young to insure a bigger engined car so try lose some weight if you dont carry too much passengers lose the back seats, seat belts, head board, door cards, spare wheel hanger, sund proofing etc, and the car will accelate quicker and generally feel more "chuckable" round the twisty stuff.
