Default Radio Change HELP!

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum so a big hello to everyone!
Bought my very first Saxo on Saturday. Lovely car it is! Standard 1.1i 4 door 1998 model. Absolutely love it!
I have a couple of hundred pounds worth of car stereo which I have had for a few years since I bought my first car. I want to put it all in the saxo. I haven't attempted it yet but I wanted to know if its easy to get the standard radio out and do I need a fascia panel to make the new cd player fit? It seems bigger for some reason, maybe Im wrong. Also do I need any special wiring to be able to put the new radio in? Most of the time Halfords provides wiring kits for standerd car radios to generic cd players but it doesnt seem to have one for a Saxo, nor does it provide a fascia panel. Could someone please let me know about this? Much thanks in advance!
