check all the connections at back of headunit, back of speakers and amp if you have one. then check the fuses in back of headunit and amp then check your earth connections and make sure that it is connected to bare metal not paint

As above, check the main connection into the headunit. more than likely probably a loose connection somewhere or bad earth. How did you connect the speaker wires to your headunit? (plastic clips/soldered or just twisted together?

db - thats your apams doing their jobs and going into protect mode to stop them from being damaged. You have to turn the HU off in order for the amps to turn off and reset...

just to explain how its set up.

theres two amps in the back, with their own earths. the remote leads from them run up the passenger side to the passenger footweld. it joins into another remote lead from an amp. One remote leads runs directly to the head unit.
The amp in the footweld has its own earth.
The power cable runs into the footweld. theres a fuse box there where it splits in 2. One runs around the drivers side and down to the rear 2 amps. The other runs into the footweld amp.
None of the fuses have blown.
Some bastard stole the cd player a while ago the cd player i have is only a 2xpre out model wired up to take 3, there have never been any problems with this.
If it was a dodgy earth somewhere some amps would work when others wouldnt cause they have got there own earths so i think i can rule that out
Ive check the remote leads over and over and there appears to nothing wrong .
I cant see why the amps are not getting power, all the fuses are sweet and theres nothing wrong connections either.
I think that possibly the headunit might be fuckod.

if you think its the headunit then why not take one amp out and run a power cable with fuse staright to it from the battery, earth it and connect the 12v input into the remote socket and see if the amp works. if it does then its got to be the headunit fucked really. try it on all of the amps.
