Not going to change how fast you will go in each gear. Just get to that speed a damn sight faster.

Theres a video going about of a 106gti with about 216bhp at the wheels which is like 260bhp at the fly wheel. I know its turbo but you can get the same power from a SC. He does 40mph - 140mph in 20 seconds - not slow!

Basic kit with out standalone is about £4500. Plus clutch £500, plus ATB diff £500 plus fitting which is about £1000 if you get them to do the diff aswell

expensive mate, 2 do it propely anyway, forged pistons, standalone ecu etc. It wont make it do more speed in the gears though unless u have the limiter moved.

need to know the costs, and how long my car will need to be away for?
Depends on where you take it in relation to where you live. Depends if you do some of the work yourself. Depends if the place doing it will charge you less for allowing them to take there time etc etc etc. Basic conversion, fitted and mapped i'd say 3 days absolute minimum. However i'd give a company a week at least so they can take their time.

also what is the speed difference like...as a standard VTS does 65mph in 2nd so what would a supercharger do??
As mentioned - a supercharger is going to do nothing to your gearing. And unless you're either going by the clocks, have huge wheels, or have a vtr/diesel box - your car won't do 65 in 2nd.

Speed difference - a decent conversion will easily double your power. More if you want to go slightly more extreme. Clio 172 and CTR have 166bhp/tonne. A 900kg saxo only needs 150bhp to match this (ignoring other factors like gearing etc). And you should easily hit the redline in fifth. Plenty of videos on YouTube of s/c 106s/Saxos
