Paying Bills... how do you do it?
Right will be moving into a houseshare in the summer..
been talking about bills, so far they have been included in the rent but soon we will have to deal with them myself.
So, can you pay cash?
There will be 4 of us and gas, electric, water and sky tv/broadband/phone
can we pay cash? I.e get the bill and the giro slip and go to the bank or send a cheque (my preferd way)
or somehow sort a joint bank account for us all to deposit into and the bills have a direct debit from there
no one wants the responsablilty of bills lol
or take one each?
ideas please or what do you do houseshare people

I usually just pay mine by giro (credit card etc)
You could try getting a joint account, but it really depends on how much you trust the other people!

Can get most of them on payment cards and pay them at any post office or paypoint outlet, its what I do....bar from sky which comes out of DD from bank

thats cool, sky is not a prob, £30 odd for tv, sports and internet is fine for a DD
bills on a card is much better or giro

depends on how much u trust them get a savings account u all put money into it and then get all ur bills taken out of that account!

trust me DONT put anything in your name that relys on other housemates, ive seen it before and not a position to be in, thats my advice anyways.
