Default intermittant problem

only a couple of times this has happened to me but if like to know what it is,

when i get in the car you have the 3clicks of the barrel 1st ignition, 2nd fuel pump prime etc then the 3rd turn starts the car, when i go to turn the key for the 3rd time it just moves but the car doesnt start, no clicking noises.

then i take the key out then do it again and it starts, what could this be??

ive tried searching but havent found anything,

ive got a new battery fitted, been told it could be imobiliser issues or the starter motor

It could be the imobiliser. All the keys are coded so when the key is placed into the ignition barrel it will disable the imobiliser. Having a new battery might have wiped some of the information in the ignition barrel. Might need recoding possibly ? Or it could be a faulty ignition barrel altogether. Just a few suggestions of what could be wrong.

Hope this helps
