iv'e got 17"s just like you mate and all i ever hear is how they effect the performance,which i dont totally agree with as it feels like it only effects 1st gear to me,this got me wondering why you went for 17"s as your cars got serious BHP and could be classed as a performance car?

I dont notice any loss of performance with the 17's... but I have a fair amount of bhp to help push them around.. <img src= "smileys/grin.gif">

17's will make your car a little slower at accelerating, but will give you a higher top speed... provided you can still reach the same rpm.

The bigger rims help me to get the power down also, as theres lots of wheelspin when trying to launch my car..
