tyre problems - Saxperience

at the momoent i have 195 50 15's on my alloys which are to big for my car the catch on the back so are undriveable.
would 195 45 15 remove the rubbing as there is a small difference in size or is it to small a difference?
i cant find any profile 40 tyresbut 45 seems the common choice i think im down 80m so about 90m at the rerar due to the install

any help would be greatly appreciated as i am in desperate need of these.

45's will give some extra clearance!
Where are you rubbing as that low 80-90mm you will need some arch work! Bracket or archliner removal!

its on the drivers rear side its catching. dosent do it on 185 14 55

It sounds like the width is the problem, you could try 185/45/15 this should give you enough clearance in the arch!

theres is where im confused my alloys atm have the 195s on is it safe to go 185? sound like a right noob tbh lol

although i was using a spacer at the time 5mm i think.

The 195 part is the width of the tyre and yes you can go to 185, the profile which is the height of the tyre will be 45 and last of all is the rim size. Basically this will mean that the tyres won't be as wide but they will be a bit lower, this way should solve your problem!!!

No they won't be the stretched effect but they won't protect the rim as well as 195 prob did, did you try removing the spacers and seeing if that works Ok?

this is going to sound gay, no i never i was so pissed of at the fact they rubbed an the fact they took for ever to get on as i have to get it on blocks and stuff for the jack. it would of made a small difference i think, and the with loosing the cm of the tyre there should be some clearance. hmm

Well as I said it should solve your problem, you could do with a mate at a garage and get use of their ramp, it'd make life a hell of alot easier, personally I know it's messing about but I'd take off the spacers and see how that goes first. At least that won't cost you anything then if not go for the slightly slimmer tyres. Anyway I hope this has helped.
