Default Petrol Problems!

Right,

Yesterday I put £10 in my car as it was about to hit the reserve. Filled up with normal unleaded at an Esso garage near Goodwood.

When I pulled out of the station my car was jolting and jerking in first gear, as if it was going to stall.

At nearly every roundabout and junction on the way home, it happend again.

Last night on the way home from work it was practically undrivable in every gear. I got my dad to take it down the road and it sounded like it was backfiring and still jolting. We had to leave it in neutral to get back home.

I noticed when I finished filling up petrol, the guy at the pump in front of me also jolted when he pulled away.

Rung the station this morning and she reckoned I put diesel in! I'm not stupid, I also have the receipt and it says '£10 ULP'.

Were going to see what the M.O.T garage say, and if it is something to do with the petrol then the station WILL be paying to fix it.

Seems to drive alrite at the moment though.
See how it goes...

Is that the first time it has done it and is the car smoking a lot from the exhaust?

Station might have messed up the unleaded and diesel but then again it is a saxo so anything can happen.

lol...turns out when I cleaned the engine bay a few days before. A few spark plugs & ht leads got wet, and thats why it wasnt firing properly.

Just a coincidence that it first happend at the perol station.

What an idiot I feel now!
