Can only get pistons for a 16v yeh but there the same size its down to the pin set up..
try gmc i got my rods and pistons from there.. Any reason why your after rods as well?
A set of oe vts rods and some forged pistons will be fine unless your running high revs..

you dont need rods unless your raising the rev limit..standard vts will be fine under 8000rpm

I was running around 200 bhp from oe rods and others have ran 250@ wheels on them..
To run the forged pistons in a 8v you need to use 16v rods and pistons as far as i know.

OE meand original equipment ie standard, i had 200lbs/ft on standard rods(they had been shot peened, there now in a 300bhp supercharged 106)
the only reason im useing forged rods with 7k revlimit is 30psi of boost and 200bhp nitrous

What power are you running?
200ft'lbs of torque isn't that great, and surely you might as well put some aftermarket rods in for extra insurance if your going to rebuild the engine to get them shot peened anyway?

hopefully be about 400bhp+ +200 bhp nitrous
200lbs/ft isnt bad for a home made turbo kit with a T25, look at the torque figures the 16v turbos make you will be suprised
the reson behind useing shot peened OE rods is that you can get a second hand set for about £100 or new for about £300, then its about £40 to shot peen them or its £700 for a forged set
like i say i only changed mine as i didnt want to try OE ones with 500lbs/ft+

But forged Rods aren't 700, more like the £300+40 for a new set.
Surely you won't be 500ft/lbs+ with 600bhp on a 1.6 engine???

most decent forged rods are £4-500+vat
the torque on a turbo 8v is more than the bhp so with 5-600bhp the torque will be high
there are a few 16v with 400bhp with smaller turbos and lower comp
