More to do with the road conditions than your brakes, wet and greasy roads!

wilwoods are around 600 quid from rally design!
406 v6 brembos go for 250-300 quid normally on ebay! great setup but there are fitting issues, there quite wide so depnding on what wheels your using you will need to use spacers!

if your going brembos you will need 15 inch wheels! vtr wheels are too small!

if you want the name get the 406 brembos there cheap and do the job very well (my mate has a set)
i have wilwoods and i cant praise them highly enough tbh
also there a tad lighter in the caliper than the brembos so are better for the unsprung weight of the strut

brembos are good
my mate with brembos recently drove my car and said the bite with the wilwoods i run is so much better
dunno if its due to the compound of pads i run ect but i was quite suprised by that

thats very true damn post whore lol !
and back to the tread at hand, i think 4 pots maybe overkill tbh and you maybe spending more money than need be, i think some 306 GTI calipers would deffinatly be sufficient tbh and only cost like £30 from a scrappers

maybe your brakes just need bleeding again? as they shouldnt feel too crap, also putting huges brakes on wont neccisarily make you stop any faster, you will just lock up easier in the current weather conditions.
