It's a shit job mate. I have heard about people doing it and it's really boring. Just have to play the game again and again for shit pay.
EA games is very local to me and i see adverts every so often.

Most people get into "Quality Assurance" because they want to get into higher ranks within the studio, and that's the best way to do it. Testing games isn't really a good career if you ask me, it's at the bottom of the chain in terms of ranks within game development.
BTW, if you really want to get into it then your better off getting into a smaller studio. Places like EA/Ubisoft etc have employee's within the millions. Where as studios in america like Epic Games for exam only have around 60.

find developer sites, not as easy as you think for the money mind
we have a game developer next door to where i work 14k a year they pay, but its nothing like buying a game and playing it.
Got to constantly play levels over and over and over again writing reports etc

yeah I heard that being a games tester you get set a certain level or section of the game and you have to try every combination to see if it will glitch.
Wish EA did it properly, my fifa glitches loads.

plus i dout you would be able to be very picky about the games you test you will most likly have to test really dull games .. imagine having to play a dull game over and over again for hours on end ....
