Hi, i have a 51 plate saxo vtr, it is fitted with a texalarm, which the dealership fitted a few months after i bought the car, its worked perfectly ever since.

The problem now is, when i lock the car with the key fob the indicators come on and go off as they always have to tell you the alarm is set, but after about ten seconds the indicators start to flash for about 30 seconds, then stop for about 10 seconds, then flash again for 30 seconds, it does this till you unlock it again.

Any one on here got any ideas,
ive checked all the wiring and interior switches, switched off the interior sensors and it still does it, its driving me nuts!!

Richard.

erm.... if you've checked all the wiring, switches & any fuses etc may be worth taking it back to them. must have a warranty on it?

Fuses are all fine wiring looks to be ok all the switches are working.
Thought some one else may have had the same problem??

someone else may be able to help mate - reevesy is good with alarms etc. give some others a chance - i'm not the best person to ask when it comes to alarms. didn't realise the alarm was that old, probably not in warranty like you say

my current vts alarm is now going off every now and then. its started doing it over the last few days. must be something to do with the internal sensors... with them being TOO sensitive

check the bonnet switch as they can get rusty and not work right. does the light inside the car go out when you shut the door/doors and check the boot light goes out when the boot is shut. do you have ultra sonics if so put some black tape ovewr the front of them. if this does'nt work take out the alarm and put in a new one.
