Default Vibrations!

Hello all,

I have quite a substantial install consisting of uprated speakers all round and a subwoofer. I have alreaady sound deadened the doors with Dynamat xtreme and Skins 3 stage system. However it is the door pins which are rattling and distracting me!

I NEED them in place, hence will not be removing them.

Has anyone got any clever suggestions to prevent them rattling?

Cheers

J

When your door card's are on they shouldent rattle, when the door cards are off they rattle alot.

'Kieranc07' - Thanks for your response, something with those types of dampening properties would work I would imagine. Do you happen to know where I could hold of 'the item you described'?

'Infinitym4ge' - To re-articulate...Im pumping half a kilo watt of bass through the saxo! Im afraid that there is enough 'play' in the doorcards doorpin-well such as to permit it to rattle.

Put sound deadening around the metal rod part of the door pin and around the hole where the door pin protrudes out of the doorcard [this would be done from the inside].

I would assume that it would be enough to deaden most noise from rattling and you would use very little material.
