still cant find the problem...after diagnosis
ive been having a problem recently with my vts that it is idleing at low revs, and it is also cutting out when i am stuck in traffic or when comeing to a stop (but it seems to only do this when the engine is completly warmed)..... i took it for a diagnosis today and still didnt find what the problem is. so im goning to have to change parts until the problem is sloved.
if any1 nos or has had this problem before which parts should i have a go changing 1st becuase ive been told it could be the lambda sensor, temp control sensor, coil pack, idle control valve etc. help desperatly need

Where did you take it for a diagnosis? I found when there was problems with mine, that some garages can’t access all the faults on the ECU and it was only shitron who could find them… think the ECU stores intermittent faults as well as fixed faults… it’s the intermittent fault codes you need to find out… if you’ve already been to shitron – then kick up a fuss.. they built the car therefore they should know what’s up with it… it will be one of your sensors…

I would have to say that it is either the temp sensor or the idle control valve. Most probably the idle control valve though.

It could be one of many sensors I'm afraid. As Joe has said, you really need a dealership to take a look. They will pinpoint it straight away.

looks like citroen is my only option now....do you think that they will notice that a 1.4 westcoast has a vts lump in it and if they did wat do you reckon they would do?? thats my only issue
it beats throwing away cash at all of these different sensors....didnt realise that a MAP sensor would cost more than 60notes

It won't. A MAP sensor from Pug is around £35 IIRC.
Why would they care about you having a different engine? If all the sensors are correct for the lump, then they will just treat it as a VTS...

That’s exactly why you should go to a dealership… £40 and they will tell you what’s up – they cant exactly turn round to you and say they don’t know what’s up with it can they??
They would have to be really unreasonable to use the different engine as an excuse…chances are they will have a good idea what’s up with it before it goes for diagnosis

The MAP sensor was actually cheaper from Pug than it was from Allparts! I've never seen anything like it! lol.
